Three Year Anniversary!
The DF and I will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary next Wednesday, but since we won't actually see each other that day (we're 0 for 3...) we celebrated Saturday night. The DF took me downtown to St. Elmo's for dinner and then we met up with Stacy and Tara at a martini bar for some drinks. The drinks after weren't planned, but we had a lot of fun. I had lamb for dinner (first time!) and the DF had a huge ribeye. He ate it all - I couldn't believe it. We got free cheesecake too, so that was a plus. It wasn't cheap, but it was a lot of fun to get dressed up and go out. Here's a pic of us looking nice! :)

Anna again!
The DF and I bought tickets back in June to watch Anna Kournikova play WTT last weekend. Of course she got injured a couple of weeks ago (she's always injured!), so she didn't play. Anyway, we headed over to St. Louis and it was really muggy! I don't know what it is about that city, maybe the river, but it's one of the most annoyingly muggy cities I've ever been to. Anyway, our seats were pretty decent and we had a good time despite the weather. Here are some pics! The DF thinks Kournikova is looking directly at him in the second pic, but she wasn't...And you can't really tell here, but the DF and I are super oily and gross looking (at least we felt gross!) in the last pic. I asked him to get rid of the oil in photo shop but he claims he can't.

Finally a photo!
The DF was in Philadelphia for a few days last week to take a test for school. He realized only a few days before he left that Anna Kournikova would be appearing at a World Team Tennis event while he was there. She was supposed to play, but she injured her wrist a few weeks ago. The DF has been a huge Kournikova fan for like 10 years, so he decided to pay to go to a meet-and-greet with Anna prior to the match. It was held at a restaurant next to the court.
He said it was really packed in there, but they did take group photos. They wanted him to be the last person in one photo, but he wisely stayed behind to be the first person to walk up for the next photo. According to him, he went up to her, shook her hand, and introduced himself. She said it was nice to meet him. He got to stand right next to her for the photo, which is really exciting! He finally got a copy of the photo today, and he's a little disappointed that he didn't know which camera to look at. He said there was a wall of cameras! I told him he should just photoshop his eyes to look like they were looking at the right camera. We'll see if he does. Until then, I'm just going to post the original one. Well, it's technically not the original because he cut the other people out of it! I was really excited for him that he got to finally meet her and shake her hand. I'll post the story about this past weekend in St. Louis after he uploads those photos. :)

Delayed Posts!
I was hoping to post about Anna Kournikova last week and then again this week, but I'm being delayed by a lack of pictures. The DF got to see her twice last week (excessive, I know!), but I'm waiting for pictures to help tell the stories. I hope to have them by the end of the week!
In the meantime, here's another picture of Robert Pattinson. Can't go wrong there!

I'm still here!
Sorry for the lack of updates - I'm really bad at this, aren't I? I spent most of last week laying on the couch sick with sinus problems. Actually, I only missed one day of work, but I left early two other days, and I had already been sick beginning the weekend prior. I finally felt better late last week. I basically lost a week, which stinks, but it did give me time to read the Twilight series when reading wasn't giving me a worse headache. I like the storyline between Bella and Edward (what woman wouldn't die for an "Edward" in her life?) but I have to say that the books weren't the best I've read. (They're definitely not the best vampire books I've read.) I feel like the author reused main plots between books and she rambled too. Regardless, if you're in the mood for a never-ending-love type story, you should give them a try. The movie was not very good, though I think that might have more to do with the director (who was fired for the 2nd movie) than anything else. The second movie comes out in the fall, but I haven't decided if I'll see it. The best part of the first movie was watching it with the commentary from the director and two main stars (Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson). Pattinson kept making fun of himself, so that was entertaining. Here's a pic. He's reeaally good looking.

Anyway, the DF and I will be home with family for the 4th. I'll get to see Auntie502 as well, so I'm looking forward to that. Cross your fingers for good weather!!

Wedding Bells!
The DF and I headed to Evansville this past weekend for a close friend's wedding. Steven was a groomsman. I didn't really know anyone at the rehearsal and dinner except for the DF's guy friends, but I met one of his friends' new wife, Bailey. She was tons of fun, and I really enjoyed hanging out with her. After the rehearsal dinner, everyone headed out for some drinks and fun. Our hotel was near a lot of bars and restaurants, so we walked everywhere. It was really nice. We got in late Friday night/Saturday morning, but everyone was ready on time for the wedding on Saturday. The DF's tux was chocolate brown and pink, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but he looks good in pink so it worked out once he took his jacket off. The DF's family came down for the wedding and reception, so I got to sit with them. We came back yesterday and I did some laundry. We had a great time, but I'm glad it was our last busy weekend of the summer, at least for now. I know it seems like summer is just beginning, but it's been a long couple of months! Anyway, here are some pics!

What's going on?

The DF and I saw Coldplay perform last weekend, and it was really awesome. Coldplay is probably one of my top 3 favorite bands, and I haven't been to any music concerts in forever. It was a ton of fun, but I don't have any good photos. Our camera batteries are acting up, and we were running a little late that night, so I didn't bring it. Oh well!! The picture I've posted is pretty representative of Chris Martin. He has a ton of energy and is constantly running around. He must have been a lot to handle as a kid!
On the agenda for this week is a wedding this weekend. One of the DF's close friends is getting married, and Steven is a groomsman. I'm pretty sure the groomsmen are wearing brown tuxes with pink ties. This is either going to look really good, or really bad. I'll be sure to take lots of photos for everyone to decide. :)
